Here is a brief snapshot of some of the highlights Oceania has to offer.

The islands of Samoa offer some of the most beautiful tropical views in Oceania: lush, dense mountain forests give way to pristine sandy beaches and crystal-clear blue waters. You’ll visit the capital city of Apia, which is characterised by a combination of metropolitan progress and traditional Samoan culture that makes it a truly unique destination! There are both natural wonders, such as the magical pools of Piula Cave and the Papapapaitai Falls, which is the highest waterfall in Samoa, as well as fascinating historical sites to visit including Robert Louis Stevenson’s residence on Mount Vaea and the immaculate Conception Cathedral.

The next stop a few days later is Suva, capital of the island of Viti Levu, the largest of the 332 islands that make up Fiji. Once docked, visit the Fiji National Museum, before exploring the city’s other sights which include the Sacred Heart Cathedral and the Suva City Library. Once you’ve experienced some of the culture on offer, you won’t be able to resist the mouth-watering tropical dishes that the local culinary scene has to offer.

After a bit of sailing, you’ll reach the ‘City of Sails’, Auckland, New Zealand. The Sky Tower offers spectacular views stretching 80km in every direction from the tallest structure in the southern hemisphere. The Auckland Museum is a wonderful place to learn about the Maori culture, or you might visit the National Maritime Museum to discover the secrets of sailing in New Zealand. A city with a lot to offer, you’ll no doubt find something interesting and new to try out while you’re there!

Following an overnight stay in Sydney, the MSC Poesia will take you to Brisbane, Australia. Situated on the country’s East coast, Brisbane has a flourishing restaurant, bar and cultural scene with plenty of places for you to discover! It’s metropolitan hustle and bustle and white sandy beaches make for another special destination in Oceania, and one of Australia’s must-see cities.

A few final highlights of Oceania that the MSC Poesia will take you to in Papua New Guinea. Alotau is the Eastern most town in Papua New Guinea, and is a small town nestled between lush green hills and black volcanic sand beaches. You can venture up into the hills to enjoy a breath-taking view of the town and surrounding bay, and visit the Massime Museum and Cultural Centre, which house exhibitions detailing 400 years of the town’s history.

If you’ve always wanted to travel the world, or if you hadn’t thought it possible, book a cabin today onboard the MSC Poesia for 2021 and be surprised by all that the cruise and countries have to offer.
