From March 2018,
MSC
Magnifica is ready to sail to the most enchanting
East Atlantic destinations as well as
the Norwegian fjords. The ship will offer more than 5 different itineraries of
7,
10,
11 and
14 nights.
From coasts of
Spain and
Portugal to
Holland and from
United
Kindom to
Norway, MSC Magnifica will explore various cities and lands, to give you an unique look of the Atlantic sea, starting from three of the most evocative ports in the north,
Southampton,
Hamburg and
Le Havre.
A dazzling example of contemporary architecture, Le Havre takes its name from “The Harbour” it sits in. Definitely worth a visit, you may want to extend your stay to visit the capital of France, Paris or the close by town of Mont Saint Michel. Southampton has been called the capital of cruising in the UK and it is not surprising, as cruise ships have been docking at the port since 1840.
Depending on itinerary you will choose, you will have the possibility to visit different destinations:
Let's start with
Leixoes, one of our new ports of call. It will let you reach
Porto, where you can admire the iron Dom Luís Bridge designed by Gustave Eiffel.
It is included in a 14-nights itinerary, that will bring you also to
Malaga,
Cadiz and
Lisbon before to land in
Amsterdam with an overnight that let you visit the Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank’s house, the Vondel park and, of course, its fascinating maze of canals.
La Coruna is on the north coast of Spain, guarding it from the Atlantic with its impressive Roman light house. Its beautiful port and ancient center are worth a visit. Like unmissable is the excursion to
Santiago de Compostela, one of Spain’s most beautiful cities.
It is one of ports of call included in the itinerary that will bring you to the Atlantic port of
Le Verdon-sur-mer, in the Aquitaine region, the other new destination in MSC Northern Europe programme.
The journey continues to a recently reintroduced port of call,
Bilbao. A beautiful city from all perspective, it is graced with the impressive Guggenheim museum with a breathtaking structure on the outside and amazing art collections on the inside.
It's not over here. You can choose to discover the most beautiful cities of United Kingdom, from
Invergordon and
South Queensferry in Scotland and the reintroduced
Newcastle upon Tyne in England, before to sail towards
Amsterdam and back again to
Hamburg,
Southampton and
Le Havre.
If, instead, you want to be inspired by fairytale landscapes, MSC Magnifica will accompany you to
Alesund and
Olden, with an itinerary of 10 nights that will let you explore Norwegian fjords.
