Cruise Director

Valerio Stigliano

Valerio’s passion for the arts led to a degree in Modern Languages and Literature, but he came to the world of entertainment through sport. While working as a tennis coach, he jumped up on the stage to perform “just for fun” and there was no looking back.

His next jump was to board a cruise ship as a member of the entertainment team in early 2003. This marked the start of a meteoric career in the Cruise Industry, which took him to become the youngest Cruise Director at MSC Cruises in less than 4 years and then co-manager of the Entertainment Department ashore!

A man of many talents, Valerio also works as a TV show host and journalist as well as an interpreter for football clubs and teams, including the Italian squad during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, when he was Italy’s only official interpreter for international press conferences.

Valerio has lived in Spain, France, Brazil and South Africa, and speaks fluent Italian, English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish, but declares: “the stage is my home!”
